N eighborhood representatives are planning the 50th St. Johns Parade, an annual event in the north Portland com m unity during Rose Festival. Many com m unity folks work hard to produce this aw esom e event with new and exciting addi tions each year. T hat’s especially true this year as the parade has its 50th birthday. One of the ideas is to enlarge historic photos and to place the photos on banners and have the p h o to b a n n e rs in te r s p e r s e d throughout the parade. Because the parade operates on a small budget, the spirit of volunteering and donations of time and energy, resources and expertise is needed. W hat are needed are profes sional photographers who will donate their time and possibly m aterials to enlarge and incorpo rate the photos on the banners.
