M eanw hile, heat the oil in a saucepan o v er m edium heat. A dd the onions and carrots and cook, stirring, until they begin to soften, 6 to 8 m inutes (do not let them darken). P lace the pot pie on a baking sheet and bake until bubbling and the cru st is golden, 30 to 35 m inutes.
