Everett St., is a Portland Public Schools special focus school for 6th, 7th & 8th graders with an interest in visual and performing arts. The arts are often integrated into core academic classes to reinforce learning and help students connect to the material. Da Vinci does not have a neighborhood catchment area, and accepts students from throughout the PPS district. Beginning Feb. 10, applications to apply to the school are available on the school’s website and in the office. Admission selection is done by a lottery. Da Vinci anticipates having 150 openings for 6th graders, about five openings for 7th graders and about five openings for 8th graders.
