Authorities said a passenger was seated on the train looking out the window when another man began punching him in the head, knocking him to the floor, and then continued punching and kicking him. The assault was so violent that the window behind the victim's head was shattered. Witnesses described the assault as completely unpro voked. The victim was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with numerous bumps and cuts on his face but did not suffer any bro ken bones or long-term damage.
