The Portland Police Bureau, in
cooperation with Crime Stoppers, is
asking for your help in solving a
violent assault that occurred June 6
at about 5:17 p.m. on a MAX train
bound for the airport.
Authorities said a passenger was
seated on the train looking out the
window when another man began
punching him in the head, knocking
him to the floor, and then continued
punching and kicking him.
The assault was so violent that
the window behind the victim's head
was shattered. Witnesses described
the assault as completely unpro
voked. The victim was transported
by ambulance to an area hospital
with numerous bumps and cuts on
his face but did not suffer any bro
ken bones or long-term damage.

fingerprints, dental information and
physical description.
Once completed, the kit can be
sealed in a zip-lock bag and kept in
