Martin Luther King Jr. with a two- week celebration at multiple loca tions throughout Corvallis. Activities are open to the public and most are free. OSU will cancel classes on Monday, Jan. 16, to allow students, faculty and staff to ob serve the celebration and join the 24u'-annual Peace Breakfast, which starts at 7:30 a.m. in the Memorial Union Bal Inxim on theOSU campus. H ili' i i l i i i i i le es A new collection o f "footsteps” o f civil rights icons will take their place in the International Civil Rights Walk o f Fame on Jan. 23 during cerem onies at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site in Atlanta, Ga. The W alk o f Fame, now in its third year, includes the footprints o f President Jim m y Carter, Justice Thurgood M arshall, Henry Aaron, Ralph McGill, Mayor Maynard Jack- son, Harry B elafonte and Rosa Parks. The hall was created in 2004 to give recognition to those valiant soldiers o f justice w ho sacrificed and struggled to m ake equality a reality for all.
