art exhibit show casing the work o f
OSU graduate student Lisa Taylor,
will be on display in MU 2 11 from
Jan. 13-20.
“Sign the Pledge,” to reaffirm
su p p o rt fo r n o n v io le n t so c ial
change, equality and justice, free­
dom and peace, takes place at the
MU Student Lounge, Jan. 13-27.

Oregon State University is cel­
ebrating the legacy o f the Rev.
Martin Luther King Jr. with a two-
week celebration at multiple loca­
tions throughout Corvallis.
Activities are open to the public
and most are free. OSU will cancel
classes on Monday, Jan. 16, to allow
students, faculty and staff to ob­
serve the celebration and join the
24u'-annual Peace Breakfast, which
starts at 7:30 a.m. in the Memorial
Union Bal Inxim on theOSU campus.

o f civil rights icons will take their
place in the International Civil
Rights Walk o f Fame on Jan. 23
during cerem onies at the Martin
Luther King Jr. National Historic
Site in Atlanta, Ga.
The W alk o f Fame, now in its
third year, includes the footprints
o f President Jim m y Carter, Justice
Thurgood M arshall, Henry Aaron,
Ralph McGill, Mayor Maynard Jack-
son, Harry B elafonte and Rosa
Parks.
The hall was created in 2004 to
give recognition to those valiant
soldiers o f justice w ho sacrificed
and struggled to m ake equality a
reality for all.
