Upon sporting her in the reception line, Mandela calles out her name and, hugging her, says, "You sustained me while I was in prison all those years.’’ * • 1994: Parks received the Rosa Parks Peace Prize in Stockholm, Sweden. • Sept. 9, 1996: President Clinton awards Parks the Presiden tial Medal o f Freedom.
