T he N orth C oast S eafood Festival is com ing up on Oct. 1 and 2 at the T illam ook County Fairgrounds, in a celebration of cultural diversity featuring styles o f m usic, food and art from all over the world. Most than 20 upscale restau rants and caterers will be on hand w ithjam balaya, crab cakes, seafood fettuccine, shrimp cocktail, scampi, sushi, sm oked oysters and salmon, and clam chowder. Desserts and Tillam ook ice cream, along with O r egon m icrobrews and wineries, will YAM YAM’S SOUTHERN COOKING BBQ dance, sw ing, and hip-hop. A variety o f Oregon artists w ill also show case stained glass, woodcarvings, ceram ics, glass floats, jew elry, paint ings, sculptures, fiber arts and baskets. The festival runs Saturday, Oct. 1 from 10a.m. to9p.m .and Sunday, Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $6 adults on Saturday, $5 on Sunday and $4 for Seniors and children ages 6 to 12. All admission proceeds will benefit art literacy programs in T illam ook County Elem entary Schools.
