Wells Fargo is helping the dream of home ownership come true for 43 children and 20 adults in Gresham. The Wells Fargo Housing Foun d atio n p resen ted a cheek for $157,500 to Mt. Hood Habitat for Humanity Thursday, which is build ing a 14-family affordable housing development on one acre at 16842 S.E. Stark St. The “Lillian’s Place” develop ment includes 14 condos (2-4 bed rooms each) and a community cen ter. Construction began in January and is expected to be completed on time for the families to move in before the next school year. The project has an estimated value of $1.7 million. Wells Fargo team members have been helping build the project since the start. About 50 Wells Fargo volunteers were on site Thursday to paint, plant greenery and install wiring. The grant amount is based on the more than 2,480 volunteer hours that Wells Fargo team mem bers and their friends and family m em bers have w orked on the project so far.
