Hardy Princess Lee Miller Dorothy B. Johnson M ercedes U. Hardy died M arch 3,2004, at age 95. M ercedes U. Johnson w as bom Jan. 5, 1909, in Pensacola. Fla., and raised in Om aha, Neb. She m oved to the Portland area in 1933. She was a hom em aker and self-em ployed ca terer. In 1931, she m arried Harry H. H ardy; he d iedin 1976. Survivors include her daughters, M arlene Fuller, Beverly Johnson and M arsha Hardy; sister, Burtron Kellogg; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A funeral was held T uesday, M arch 2 in A lbina Christian Life Center, for Prin cess Lee Mi 1 ler, who died Feb. 24 at age 60. Princess Lee Polk was born Nov. 6, 1943, in Bamboo, Miss. She was a food service w orker and bartender and later a child and adult care provider. She moved to Portland in 1969. In 1987, she married Porter Miller. Survivors include her husband; sons, Rodney Braxton and A lvin Johnson Sr.; daughters, A ngela Braxton and Tifftni Braxton; and three grandchildren.
