Butterflies to Save our Planet Area residents can learn how Costa Rican butterfly farmers are saving rainforest habitat though sustainable farming practices during a lecture by renowned Smithsonian Entomologist Nathan Erin at the Oregon Zoo on Sat urday. Nov. 8 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Erin's lecture will focus on butterfly farming in Costa Rica and how he is encouraging fanners to expand their techniques to include other insects such as katydids, praying mantises, millipedes and other large arthropods.
