Woods, o f the Dortland Metro Assembly o f 3od, are trying to bring relief to poverty- stricken Haiti by delivering supplies o f food and oiletries to the country. 30 & Over (ID required] Churches Seek to Help Haitians Dress 2 Impress Portland Metro Assembly of God is work ing closely with the First Haitian Christian Church in Portland to bring relief to dozens of Haitians in need. “Face to Face" project members will bring direct assistance to the people of Haiti in the form of clothing, food and children’s church services. Haiti is an island in turmoil. Ripe with hunger, political oppression, persecution and unspeakable poverty, children in the country are victimized through a lack of nutrition, education and adequate health care. The churches will be collecting contribu tions through Dec. 21.
