Mr. W ayne E. O lson (d.o.b. 08/07/47) was found dead in his hom e at 1230 a.m. by his w ife who had ju st returned from an out o f tow n trip case this is being investigated as a murder. Investigators are looking for the victim ’s tw o autom obiles that w ere stolen from the residence som e tim e in the past three days. V ehicle # 1 is a dark green colored, four door, 1998 B M W 3251 w ith O regon plate V V H -838 on it. V ehicle #2 is a greenish gold (olive) colored 1998 Jeep G rand C herokee w ith O regon plate W C E -495 on it. A nyone seeing these vehicles should call 911 im m ediately and not attem pt to take enforcem ent action against th e o c c u p a n ts w h o s h o u ld be considered arm ed and dangerous. Investigators are continuing their investigation at this tim e and are collecting evidence from the crim e scene at the hom e. N o further details are being released at this tim e to protect the success and the integrity o f the investigation. M u ltn o m a h C o u n ty ’s in n o v a tiv e N o rth / N ortheast and Southeast Com m unity C ourt Projects becam e arraignm ent courts in June and m oved to a weekly schedule in A ugust. In m ost cases, in d iv id u a l ch a rg ed w ith m isd em e an o rs are ch a rg ed at a C o m m u n ity C o u r t in th e ir neighborhood and assigned a date to return for a plea. This changed should relive pressure on the dow ntow n courts and bring m ore o f the crim inal ju stice system into a com m unity setting. A lm ost all m isdem eanors and violations are directly cited by police officers into a C om m unity C ourt for arraignm ent, Domestic violence cases are not cited nor are cases involving registered sex offenders, due to the P rojects’ proxim ity to public schools. Traffic offenses are also intelligible, unless they are committed in connection with a m isdem eanor that is eligible for com m unity court. T he N o rth /N o rth e ast co u rt is in session every W ednesday and the Southeast court hears cases every Thursday. Arraignments begin at 9:15 am , w ith pleas in the afternoon.
