The City of Gresham plans to retain a Consultant to provide historic research and analysis, interpretive theme development, master planning and design to guide the development and use of this historic grounds and future community park that surround this 1870s rural Victorian home. This property ownership and management is a shared partnership between the City of Gresham and the Fairview-Rockwood-Wilkes Historic Society. The basic work ,onsists of minor landscape grading, concrete paving, concrete slab and concrete masonry wall restoration, concrete masonry wall restoration, concrete deck coating, new carpeting and tile, new kitchen cabinetry in all units, new sliding glass doors in all units, carpentry, mechanical work and new electrical upgrades which include smoke detectors and light fixtures. Project Description: The Consultant services shall include the following combination of professional services: cultural resource assessment, archeological survey, site analysis, public meeting attendance, site planning and design, report writing and map ping. Project experience incorporating historic and archaeologi cal research, park and historic landscape planning and design, interpretive program development, public involvement, master plan document preparation and working with public. Non-profit partnership organizational structures is desired. The Consultant will attend 2-3 public meetings with Friends of Zimmerman House and interested citizens, and up to 3 meetings to present proposed plans to the Parks & Recreation Citizens Advisory Committee and City Council in order to gain the necessary recommendations and approvals. The total budget for the project is $50,000. An optional pre-proposal conference will be held at City Hall on Thursday, August 24,1998 at 11:00 A.M. for firms interested in submitting a Proposal. The objective of the pre-proposal conference is to provide an informal meeting to discuss and clarify contents of the RFP and to provide an opportunity to examine the site. Any addendum or written clarifications from this meeting will be provided to all holders of the RFP. Bid documents are available at the HAP Office noted above. A $50 (fifty) deposit for one set and $20 (twenty) for each additional set is refundable when documents are returned within 10 days after bid opening. REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL To Provide Consulting Services for Master Planning and Design of the Historic Zimmerman House/Communlty Park CITY OF GRESHAM, OREGON Consultant’s Proposal: Interested consulting firms shall sub mit a proposal that satisfies the requirements and format stated within the RFP. Proposals should provide a straightforward, concise description of consultant’s capabilities to satisfy the requirements of the RFP. The proposal should include the following items: 1. Letter of Transmittal, Title Page and Executive Summary 2. Project Personnel A listing of the Project manage rand all key personnel and management to be utilized on the project, includ ing a description qualifications and skills; i.e., resumes. 3. Sub-consultants List any sub-consultant’s and their qualifi cations for the proposed work. List and describe the tasks and responsibilities of any sub-consultant. 4. Consultant’s Qualifications Consultant’s experience with similar types of projects in the 5-6 years. 5. References List references for three or more projects of a similar nature. Include owner’s name, contact person and phone number, and Consultant’s project manager. 6. Statement of Understanding 7. Consultant’s Approach to the Project Provide a detailed explanation of approach and techniques for information gather ing, public involvement and planning and design. 8. Project Schedule Outline a work plan and time schedule for each task of the scope of work. 9. Consultant’s Exception to RFP. 10. Additional Data Any data that the Consultant feels is applicable to the evaluation of the Proposal or of their qualifica tions, e.g. examples of related work. 11.
