It just means it’s over for me,” Jackson told Chicago’s WLS-TV from his Montana vacation home. “Michael hasn’t made up his mind and probably w on't until October, from what he talked to me about. To be more specific. W ater V apor M olecules (W VM s) are lighter than most other gases that make up the air. High hu midity means more W VM s and less air resistance, thus a smoother path for that frying pan. Three spectators were killed and rix others injured when the one-car CTash hurled a tire and other car parts into the grandstand at the fourth turn. It was the first time in more than a decade that spectators were killed at a major auto race. Dr. Gregory Baumann, the chief m edical d irecto r at M ichigan Speedway, said two people died instantly from the impact of the de bris. A third person was taken to a track medical unit, where resuscita tion failed. Officials identified the victims as Michael Teny Tautkus, 49, and Sheryl Ann Laster, 40, both of Milan, Mich., and Kenneth Dale Fox, 38, of Lansing, Mich. Six spectators were taken by he licopter to Foote Hospital in Jack- son. Hospital spokeswoman Robin Kirkpatrick said the six had injuries ranging from a fractured leg to neck and back pain. All were expected to be released Sunday night, she said. The area where the fans were hit included a block of seats that the hospital had complimentary tickets for, and one of the injured worked at the hospital, Kirkpatrick said. Gerald Bramer said he threw up his arm to block the tire from Mexi can driver Adrian Fernandez s car as it brushed by him. It hit Rich Bramer in the back, but neither was injured seriously. Becky Lutgen, the news direc tor of Lansing’s WLNS-TV, was at the track with her boyfriend watch ing Fernandez’s car as it rounded the bend. She said they didn’t see the tire from his car until it hit the stands and then landed about four or five rows behind them. “It ricocheted in the stands and came to rest between some rows. It went by so fast,” Lutgen said. Study Volunteer» Needed-High Bleed Pressure African American volunteers are needed for a 30 week hypertension research medication study.
