Joseph C. Foster Also known as Bishop J.C. Fos ter. He was the Bishop of several church of God in Christ churches in the Portland area. Bishop Foster was Married on A ugust 3, 1942. He cam e to Veronica, Oregon and was the minister of his first C.O.G.I.C church there, he moved to Port land as was pastor of St. Paul C.O.G.I.C. at it’s first location in 1945 and has been at his present location since 1958. He has been bishop since about 1958. Bishop Foster was a Co-Founder of the Albina Ministerial Alliance and had been a member of the Albina Rotary Club. Survivors include: Wife; Ber tha B Foster, Son; Earl L. Foster, Daughter; Wilma Faye Foster, Son; Lynn Foster, Son; James Foster, Daughter; Jo Evelyn Foster, Son Rev. Donald R. Foster, children were listed in order of age. 17 Grandchildren and a host of Great Grandchildren, Nieces and nephews survive him. He was proceeded in death by 9 sisters and 2 brothers. His parents names were Jerry and Ellen Foster - now deceased.
