This m aster plan will identify unsewered developed residential neighborhoods within the City of Portland. The work will consist of developing a reliable procedure for priori tizing projects, and identifying possible sewer routes including cost estim ates and time line schedule. This docum ent will be utilized for future budgeting purposes and project planning. Scope Of W ork: The City of Portland is looking for one or more independent technical consultants to design renovation plans and observe construction activities for the North Precinct building located at 7214 N. Philadelphia Ave. consultants must have experi ence with seismic retrofit, historic building renovation, and Am ericans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations. The scope of w ork for services includes but is not limited to: 1. Seism ic upgrade of the structure to com ply with current building codes. 2. Accessibility upgrades to bring the building into com pliance with the ADA. 3. Renovation of locker, show er and rest room facilities. 4. Design and construction of holding cells. 5. Conversion of locker room to office space. 6. Upgrade m echanical and electrical system s as required. This historic building was erected in 1907. It is a two-story with basem ent wood-fram ed structure with brick and stone veneer and a metal roof over exposed heavy tim bered wood trusses. Much of the interior was remodeled between 1974-77. A recent seism ic study indicates the structure does not meet the lateral force requirements of the Dangerous Building Code (PCC 24.15.060). Police program needs for this building are changing with the opening of the new North East Precinct in June. The consultant should be able to w ork with the site to determine actual requirements, identify permits, prepare speci fications, prepare cost estimates, and assist in the project to endure com pliance with regulations. The consultant would also be qualified to coordinate any construction and site im provem ents. Notice Of Public Hearing Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (Tri-M et) at 3:30 pm, W ednesday, May 25, 1994, at the Portland Building, 1120 SW 5th Avenue, 2nd floor, rm. C, for the purpose of considering the addition of the Salmon Street Station to the project scope of the W estside Light Rail Transit Project. The proposed Salmon Street Station would be constructed on SW 18th Avenue between the Civic Stadium and the SW 18th/ SW Jefferson Street Stations in the downtown Portland neighborhood of Goose Hollow. The station would be located within the existing right-of-way of SW 18th. Design work and a draft environm ental assessm ent have been com pleted. The estim ated construction cost is $367,411. The City of Portland has agreed to provide these funds. The station would be fully operational at the time the W estside Project begins service in late 1997. At the public hearing, Tri-M et will afford the opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the social, environm ental, or econom ic aspects of the proposed Salm on Street Station project.
