P age B5 T he P ortland O bserver • M arch 16, 1994 Spring Explosion: Gospel Crusade The Black Cultural Affairs Board at Portland State University and the New Azusa Christian Training Cen ter invites Christian Church Youth Leaders and laymen to the Spring Explosion: Gospel Crusade, May 11, 12and 13th,from 11:00 am - 1:30 pm in the smith Memorial Center at Port land State University (1825 SW Broadway). The theme of the Gospel Crusade is “Bringing Joy To The City”. Doors open at 10:30 am. There is no admission co st New Azusa Christian Training Center will host two crusade meet ings for the general public. ALL YOUTH LEADERS OR LAYMEN WHO PLAN TO BE INVOLVED IN THE CRUSADE MUST ATTEND THESE MEETINGS. But - this kind of foolishness is the cause of so much confusion in the church and is the reason why so many hard workers will be saddened when they open their eyes in hell. King Saul fell prey to this kind of thinking. [I Samuel 15] God had in structed Saul to smite ], and destroy all that they had and not spare any thing: not man, woman, boy, girl, or animals. Saul had been anointed by the prophet Sam uel, as instruc ted of God, to be King over Israel. Saul was the power under God to rule and lead the p eo p le. B ut — ‘ S a u l’s doublemindedness, his own personal desires, his foolishness, his own per sonal opinion became his down fall. When I read this passage of scrip ture, I was awed. This was the first time I’d ever read God saying that he was actually sorry that he had chosen some, [verse: 11]. Saul grieved God greatly. Today - Christians are grieving the H oly s p irit w ith th e ir doublemindedness. Even though a person knows what God wants them to do, they still delib erately make wrong decisions. Go against the grain. Just flat-out .... disobeys God. This kind of person is of no use to Dog. God said that he will spew, vomit, thee out of his mouth. [Rev. 3:16] Is you is or is you ain’t a Christian? Make a choice to do what is right in God’s eyes. Be steadfast in the Word! Being a doublem inded C hristian means imminent destruction.
