An aide to the Rev. Jesse Jackson co n firm ed last week that Jackson w ill lead an inter-religious worship service scheduled to coincide with the R epu b lican N a tio n a l C o n ven tion in Dallas. G od ley's most recent a p p o in t ment was in D ecatur, A lab am a, where he was com m anding o fficer. Excited about a "m o re people than service oriented p o s itio n ," Godley hopes to increase membership at the center which now stands at 1,300. He would also like to see the center develop as a place o f worship where people can gather together to hear the word o f Jesus Christ. C a p ta in and M rs . G o d ley have tw o sons, ages nine and six. " W e love it here," said Godley. “ Moore Street presents us w ith a lot o f challenges and our (w o sons couldn't be happier."
