SCHEDULE B
Sealed proposals for furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the
construction of w atar lines for tha Hazalwood W ater District will be
received at the District office at 1017 N.E 117th Avenue, Portland, Oregon,
97220, until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 1964 Immediately thereafter
such proposals will be publicly opened and read. A contract will be awarded
or bids refected within sixty (60) days after the opening
The proposed work consists of furnish and installing 240 lineal feet of 12-
inch diameter, 665 feet of 8 inch diameter and 6,667 lineal feet of 6-inch
diameter ductile iron. Class 52 pipe, including corrosion protection for
piping, excavation, backfill, thrust restraint, valves, fittings and appur­
tenances. Included are two encased 16" and 18" water main crossings of
E Burnside Street. Also included is the installation of approximately 45
house services consisting of furnishing snd installing approximately 725
lineal feet of %-inch and 510 lineal feet of 1-inch copper service line, con­
nections, corporation stops, curb stop, handwheel valves, excavation,
backfill, surface restoration and appurtenances.
Plans and Contract Documents may be examined in the Hazelwood Water
District office or at the office of the Consulting Engineers.

A copy of said Documents may be obtained from the Engineer's office upon
request. A deposit of »40 per copy will be charged. This deposit will be
refunded if plans and specifications are returned to the office of the
Engineer in good condition within fifteen 115) days of bid date; half the
deposit fee will be refunded if returned after the fifteen day period. No
refunds will be made after 30 days
All Proposals must be submitted on tha forms furnished and each must be
accompanied by a bid guarantee in the amount of ten (10) percent of the

mance of the contract in the full amount of the contract price.
No bid will be received or considered unless the bidder intends to comply
with the provisions of ORS 279.350, "Workmen to be paid not less than
prevailing wage rates." A statement of which is included in the bid

The Hazelwood Water District reserves the right to reject all bids and to
waive all informalities, or to accept any bid which appears to serve the best
interests of the District.
