Tw o weeks ago a group o f twelve met. quietly discussed Packwood's record, and wrote letters to the Sen ator, and after one and one-half hours left without incident. Others do this because ihey cannot attend either the visita tion or the service. For I he most part, those who wish to demonstrate their feelings should be able to do so. in the way they prefer and which is most na tural for them. Flowers, for ex ample. have a message all their own— one which is universal They also add beauty to the casket set ting and to the funeral service. W hile it is considered proper for the family to suggest a certain memorial (such as a donation to a particular charily), this should not be done in such a manner as to ex clude alternate expressions of sym pathy.
