Fashions change season after season — many are repeated af ter a span o f twenty to thirty years w ith m odified changes — but the tantalizing effect o f being “ in fashion” continues to spark the imagination o f designers and women around the globe who w ould not dream o f going through even one season without something “ in step with the times.” “ Back to Glamor” is an exciting collection o f American, French and Italian designs reminiscent o f “ days gone by” ; a rom antic merger o f fabrics and glitter. Rich fabrics sen suously cling to the body, bold shoulders on jackets and coats, high, high heels on sexy shoes — and the great look o f fur to wrap up in. Many dressy pantsuits for evening are worn with long Chesterfield coats or short Spencer jackets. Dresses are soft, sleek and enchanting; many are flounced, some have wrap skirts or front thigh-high splits, sheer fabrics have glossy dots, silks glisten and shimmer with metallic accents. Are you wondering about dress lengths? D on’ t! Be in d ividua listic and wear the length you like best but to keep the whole look o f the season together, wear lots and lots o f " ju n k " jewelry. I f the jewelry glit ters, fine! T h a t’ s the “ lo o k ” you want. Remember that pants are very much on the scene — short and long — shiny leather or cire’ . Dressing is more fun than ever this season with designers doing their “ th in g ” to make you the femme fatale o f the year. Layering o f tunics, vests and blouses is s till fashionable fo r daytime. Have self-confidence! D o n 't be afraid to go Back to Glamor with all the charm, gaiety and sensuality of fashion from the past, present and future.
