Men's fashions generally change in response to time and taste, new tech nology. and different work and leisure activities. A major trend in men's fashions is to ward more casual clothing, according to Ardis Koester, textiles and clothing ape cialist, who recently attended the Men's Fashion Association Press Review. Fashion designers interpret the casual look in a variety of ways. One version included a three-piece suit worn with a sport shirt open at the neck. Another designer offered a suit fabric combined with ribbing for a pullover vest rather than the traditional buttoned vest. Other casual wear employed coordi nated combinations of sports jacket, pants, shirt and sweater. “The coordinated look requires careful attention to color, texture and design as well as body shape," notes Mrs. Koester. Short men and men who wish to appear Registration is now open for the 1978 Mini College for Homemakers at Oregon State University June 19th-23rd, reports Alberta Johnston, OSU Extension area supervisor and mini college coordinator. Homemakers - women, men or couples can choose from some 90 different classes this year that range from auto mechanics and kitchen planning to public school financing and making lampshades to beginning genealogy and recycling clothing, Mrs. lohnston notes. There are no symptoms of high blood pressure, and the only way a person can know if he is suffering the disease is by having a blood pressure check - yet high blood pressure is a leading cause of heart attacks and strokes. The test, which will be provided by nurse volunteers from the Holladay Park Hospital staff, is painless and takes only a few minutes. It will be offered between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.. and from 4:00 to 0:00 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday; and between 10:00 a.m. and LOO p.m. each Saturday during May. This will be the fifth annual mini college sponsored by the OSll Extension Service and the Oregon Extension Home makers' Council, which represents parti cipants in Extension study groups. Cost for the week, including classes and room and board in campus residence halls, is $80 for a double room or 188 for a single room.
