Jenkins is president and founder of Star Productions, the first Black theatrical company in the state of Oregon. The company's productions are entertaining and educational. Jenkins developed a tutoring program for Jefferson High School that waa selected for use in the high schools of Puerto Rico. Jenkins served as Public Relations D irector for Portland State University's Black Studies Center in 1975.
