The Contract will be awarded or proposals rejected within forty-five (48) days after opening. The work contemplated is divided into five schedules as follows: Schedule 1: Construction of the lateral ««wage collection system and interceptor sewage collection system including approximately 00,000 linear feet of 8-inch to 15-inch gravity sewer pipe, 10,000 linear feet of 4-inch and 6-inch service connection pipe, manholes, surface reaporation, seven highway undercrossings, five railroad under crossings, two private railroad undercroasings, five major canal crossings, one dry pit type pump station and other appurtenances. Schedule 2: Construction of the lateral sewage collection system and interceptor sewage collection system including approximately 45,000 lineal feet of 8-inch to 12-inch gravity sewer line, 9,000 lineal feet of 4-inch and 6-inch service connection pipe, manholes, surface restoration, eleven highway undercrossings, one major canal crossing and other appurtenances. Schedule 3: Construction of the lateral sewage collection system and interceptor sewage collection system including approximately 49,600 lineal feet of 8-inch to 24-inch gravity sewer pipe, 8,000 lineal feet of 4-inch to 6-inch service connection pipe, manholes, surface restoration, four major canyon rim excavations, and other appurtenances. Schedule 4: Construction of the lateral sewage collection system and interceptor sewage collection system including approximately 04,500 lineal feet of 8-inch to 18-inch gravity sewer pipe, 400 lineal feet of 4-inch pressure sewer pipe, 11,500 lineal feet of 4-inch to 6-inch service connection pipe, manholes, surface restoration, nine highway undercroasings, one railroad undercrossing, six major canal crossings, one canyon rim crossing, one wet well mounted type pump station and other appurtenances. Schedule 5: Construction of the lateral sewage collection system and interceptor sewage collection system including approximately 27,900 lineal feet of 8-inch to 12-inch gravity sewer pipe. 5,000 lineal feet of 4-inch to 6-inch service connection pipe, manholes, surface restoration, two major canal crossing» and other appurtenances. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, construction of 19,190 feet of 24-inch concrete sewer pipe interceptor, a 32 acre soil-cement lined holding pond, a * 22 foot by 28 foot irrigation pump station, 5400 feet of >ight inch and 750 feet of six inch PVC irrigation pressure main, four center pivot spray irrigation units covering 143 acres, and other site improvements. Plans and specifications may be examined or obtained at the office of Robert E. Meyer Engineers, Inc. 14250 S.W. Allen Blvd., Beaverton, Oregon 97005; or Robert E. Meyer Engineers, Inc., 1666-2 W. Highland Avenue, Redmond, Oregon 97756. A deposit of fifty dollars (860.00) will be required and will be refunded upon return of the documents in good condition within ten (10) days after the bid opening. If the plans or specifications are damaged so as to preclude their future use, the deposit will be forfeited. Plans and specifications will be mailed parcel post. Those desiring air mail parcel post or special handling shall include with their request for plans and specifications a check, or money order, separate from the plan deposit, in the amount of 85.00 for each set requested. This fee shall be non-refundable. Bidders must be prequalified in compliance with applicable parts of Chapter 279 of the Oregon Revised Statutes. Oregon State Standard Prequalification Forms, if needed, may be obtained from the Engineer. These forms, completely filled out, should be submitted to the Engineer at leaat 10 (10) days prior to the bidding date. The Engineer will issue proposal forms to qualified bidders. All proposals must be submitted on the regular forms furnished by the Engineer. No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Redmond, for the amount equal to ten (10) percent of the total bid. The succesaful bidder shall furnish a performance bond satisfactory to the City in the full amount of the contract. The succesaful bidder, upon his failure or refusal to execute and deliver the contract and bonds within ten days after he has received notice of acceptance of his bid, shall forfeit to the City, for such failure or refusal, the security deposited with his bid. No proposal will be received or considered by the City of Redmond or any officer of the City unless the proposal contains a statement by the bidder as a part of his proposal that the provisions required by ORS 279.350 shall be included in his contract. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the provisions of the President's Executive Order No. 11246 and requirements issued thereunder. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this Order are explained in the Contract Documents. The attention of bidders is directed to the requirements and conditions of employment to be observed and minumum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. The project is being partially funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The bidder must submit with his Proposal the following properly executed documents in accordance with EPA requirements: A. Contractor's Compliance Statement (Executive Order No. 11246). B.
