There w ill be food, entertainment and nationally know speakers. The CPL was fostered by Region X of the o ffic e of Economic opportunity about two years ago to address the State Legislature. Concerted effo rt is now being given co greater emphasis to unity among local communities in planning fo r their needs. CPL passed its fir s t local resolution on June 12th: "T he Citizens fo r P ro g re s s Through Law (CPL) feel that the citizens of the “ High Crim e Rate areas" should be kept fully informed and afforded the means fo r mean ingful participation in deci sions affecting the use of LEAA funds."
