A tra ct entitled “ Sin Not Skin’ ’ has been prepared by Dal ton and in less than two years al most a half m illio n of tliern have been distributed in citie s and towns throughout Am erica. I wo paragraphs of the tract pointedly deal with very live issues of the day. ’ ’ There is much talk of Black. Green , White and Student power but tiie only message that can change belleveth.” “ While many make the issue SKIN, the truth is, the real issue is SIN, and this is the cause of broken hearts, homes, and our nation being in the throes of chaos...The only answer, though despised in our times in general. Is the love of God as manifested in C h rist Jesus. ’ * This message, Dalton said, has enabled him to speak everywhere, in churches, schools, service clubs and prisons. Invitations have come from beyond the United States and these are on his prayer lis t. The witnessing program of Sam Dalton is not supported by, or backed of any group but rattier, he says, is made possible by the bank of heaven. He talks to people not about his needs, but reared in Chicago not fa r from the stockyards. At the ape of 15 he left home to see the world. Sam’ s story is an unusual one. F or 14 1/2 years he served as a labroer fo r Protex Industries in Denver. Protex makes a curing compound fo r concrete and its products are distributed years ago something happened that changed the very existence fo r Sam, his wife and three adopted children. Sam d e liv e r ed a short speech at the 29th an nual convention of the Christian Business Men’ s Committee meeting in D e troit. His talk lasted fo r only nine minutes. What Sam had to say had a pro found effect on his audience and upon Sam. A few weeks later SAM DALTON about Jesus who knew no sin but was made to be sin for us and what he can do fo r a ll men. Sam after much prayer and reading expectantly the Word of God, n t . isted a three months leave of absence from his Job. This was November 1966. With much reservation, he says “ I stepped out on God’ s promise saying tom ydear wife Pearl; we are going to tru st the Lord and be available to him if we have to live on peanut butter and cr ackers.
