Strayhand Is no Johnny- come lately In the m inisterial ranks. He served as Chaplain fo r twenty years In the U.S. Army re tirin g as a M ajor. Church w ill have a soul revival, Jan. 10-17 with the Reverend Grady R. Brown of Gregg A.M .E. Church, Kansas C ity, Kansas as the preacher. M r. Grady Brown Is no stranger to the Pacific Northwest and to Portland. He pastored the A.M .E. Congrega tion Spokane, Washington twenty years ago and for 6^ years he was the proud pastor of Bethel here in Portland. Rev. Brown w ill be preaching Sunday at 10:45 a.m. A delicious dinner is being prepared for all persons after the morning ser vice. The Revival w ill start Sunday night 7:30 p.m. with all churches of the Union fellowship gathering t o g e t h e r to show unity. The Vancouver Baptist Choir w ill be presenting the music Sunday night. Other par ticipating churches during the R e v iv a l service are; Allen Temple C .M .E ., F irs t A.M .E. Youth fo r C hrist International with headquarters at Wheaton, Illin o is , w ill send its popular folk group THE RANDOM SAMPLE to Portland for a Youth fo r C hrist ra lly on Jan uary 9 at Benson High School, 7:30 p.m. The ra lly w ill con clude a week of high school as semblies given by the group throughout the Greater Portland Area. THE RANDOM SAMPLE is made up of seven collegian young people who represent the Campus L ife club program of Youth fo r C hrist International. They are young recording a rt ists who have appeared In as semblies and concerts through out the United States over the past two years.
