The 318th Engineers' liberty loan chorus, from Vancouver Barracks, will also have a part in tfe evening's programme. The programme as scheduled will commence at 9 P. The speakers will be Donald Skeen, of Portland, and Captain Lester W. Humphreys, a Span ish War veteran, who at present is lo cated at Camp Lewis. The day has been "declared a holiday by Mayor Palmer and all business places will be closed from noon to 6 P. M. LIXX APPOKTIOXS ALLOT3IEXT County Liberty Loan Committees Ready to Start Third Big Drive. ALBANY". Or., April 5. (.Special.) Linn County's quota in the coming lib erty loan drive has been apportioned among the seven districts of the county, the county having been divided into districts adjacent to the cities and towns which have banks. The county's quota is $381,000 and the executive committee has divided this amount among the districts as fol lows: Albany, 1227.185; Lebanon. $58, out): Harrisburg, .32,500; Brownsville, 24, 000; Halsey, 119.500; Scio, J15.400; Shedd, J11.U00. Linn County's cam paign committees are thoroughly or ganized and there is so much more en thusiasm now than at the beginning of the former drives that it is expected the county's quota will be subscribed beyond question. HOOD RIVER WELL PREPARED Forces Fnlly Organized for Libertj Loan Campaign. HOOD RIVER, Or., April 5. (Spe cial.) Preparations for tho third lib erty loan campaign here are far more extensive than for either of last year's bond drives. Members of the executive committee, composed of E. O. Blanchar; 1). G. Crulkshank, A. W. Stone and W. M. Stewart and Truman Butler, the county's representatives on the state central committee, met this week with the 13 captains of the county and their soliciting teams and delivered final in structions. Patriotic meetings will be held in every rural community during the cam paign. The first rally will be tomor row night at the Frankton School, where a community service flag will be dedicated. A bond talk will be deliv ered by Rev. M. L. Hutton. On Tuesday evening Truman Butler will deliver a bond talk to the citizens of Pine Grove. Other rural meetings have been announced. All the valley churches will hold spe cial liberty bond services Sunday. An address will be delivered at the Valley Christian Church Sunday by E. O. Blanchar. The principal Hood River County rally will be held, next Monday night at Heilbronner Hall here. Dr. A. A. Morrison, and Lieutenant Arthur A Murphy, of Po-tlac will be the speakers.
