Georob Graham Arrested. Charged with obtaining money by the theft of hta roommate's bank book. George Graham. 17 years of age. was ar rested yesterday by Superintendent Holmes, of a detective agency, and City Detective Abbott. The case was referred to the Juvenile Court. Young Graham has relatives In Minneapolis, but came here as a tramp. He has been lodging with O. K. Herahey, who has a savings account, and obtaining the pass book, drew out 1 40 before the loss waa discovered. Bids o.f Lumber Askkd. Opportunity Is offered for lumbermen of Portland to bid on big supplies of Douglas fir lam be r to be sent to the Canal sone, as- cordlng to a call for bids received at the Chamber of Commerce yesterday. The bids on this lot of supplies are to be opened on May 17. The lumber supplies which Portland mills will be able to bid upon will easily amount to a big steamer cargo and will reach an approximate total of between 1. 000.000 and 4,000.000 feet. Theodorb F. Bowman Dead Theo dore F. Bowman, aged OS years, of 416 Hoyt street, died yesterday from dropsy and heart trouble, with which he had suffered for three years. Mr. Bowman come to Portland from Indiana six years ago. He formerly was a member of the Methodist Church. Two sons, Fulton B. and Richard S- Bowman, of Portland, survive. Funeral services will be held privately at the grave In River view Cemetery at 1:30 P. M. today. Women's Mass Mer-ttxo Caxaxo. On complaint of a young girl, Tony Costanxo waa fined 115. In Municipal Court yesterday, on a charge of being drunk and disorderly. The trouble oc. eurred several days ago. on a Sellwood car and culminated In a running fight between the defendant and Patrolman Stone, who arrested him. It was charged that he removed from one seat to another beside the car. and put his arm along the back of the seat. Trespass Brings 350 Finb- Though shot at three times by the Irate owner, Lewis Kline and Ellery White, both youths, kept on going In a stolen auto mobile, which they had taken from In front of the home of J. E. Backenstos. the owner. The car was abandoned when It became damaged. Kline was arrested and appeared In Municipal Court yesterday. He was fined 350 on a charge of trespass. White is said to have left the city. Vises to "Wed Girl. Fred Vance, charged with contributing to the de linquency of a 17-year-old girl, was returned to the County Jail from Los Angeles yesterday in charge of Deputy Probation Officer Fisher. He Is 19 years of age. He has stated his will ingness to marry the girl and legitima tize a child and should he do so it Is probHble that the criminal charge will not be pressed. Bartender Faces Charge. W. O'Neill, a bartender at the Richelieu. Sixth and Couch streets, faces a charre of white slavery brought by his wife, whom be married In Pendleton.
