BIG PARTY STOPS HERE PARADE GIVF.N' BY FRATERXAIi BROTHERHOOD DELEGATES. . Six Hundred From California, Texas and New Mexico ArrlTO En Route North. 6!x hundred members of the Fraternal Brotherhood LodKe invaded Portland, on their way to Seattle yesterday, coming In at 1:30 P. M. on a special train from Los Angeles. After upending the after noon in algbt-seelns about Portland, par ticipating In a grand parade at 8 o'clock in the evening and attending a reception at the K. P. Hall. Eleventh and Al der streets, at 9 o'clock, the excursion ists left on the 11 o'clock train on their way to Seattle and the A-Y-P Fair, where Fraternal Brotherhood day will be celebrated next Saturday. The visiting members were entertained In Portlaid by Portland Lodge. No. 209. and Multnomah Lodge. No. 367. The local officers at the head of the enter taining party were President Alvin 0p son. Past President Clinton A. Ambrose, !ce-President Mi5s Lilian Dyer, Treas urer George P. Doherty. The parade last night was a pretty af fair. In which six local drill companies participated. The parade was headed by the three local officers. Alvin Gipson, Clinton A. Ambrose and George P. Do herty. and just behind came De Caprio's band. Behind the band marched ten girls, dressed In white and carrying Na tional emblems. The girls, with their graceful maneuvers, formed the feature of the parade. Four couples, also carry ing flags, followed the girls. Then came the drill companies, the members of which carried the fraternal swords, with which they did stunts. The party from Los Angeles Included the uniformed ranks, of the head office there and also drill teams from the dif ferent lodges of California. Texas and New Mexico. Among those traveling with the party were John F. CShea, su preme president, and H. B. Dunne, su preme treasurer. The traveling mem bers report royal welcomes along the line of their travels.
