The report that Emperor William of Germany will visit Lisbon this Spring, started the rumor here that arrangements were beins made for the marriajte of King Manuel and- Princess Victoria, only- daughter of the Emperor. Lecturere. on the two days" trip of the wheat demonstration train of the O. R. & N. and Washington State College. Which closed tonight at Col fax,' talked to almost 3000 at 14 different points in Whitman County, and all of those who, listened to the lectures, viewed the exhibits from the State College farm and asked many questions concerning them. Many requests for seed-corn and seeds of other crops' advocated as profitable to be raised on Summer fal low land were received, filed and the seeds will be sent to the farmers re questing them. Many new names were added to the already large mailing list, and requests for college bulletins will be filled ty the station staff. ' So great has the success of this train been, and so important the results shown, that other trains will follow. Interest in the project has been awak ened everywhere, and requests for demonstration trains re already pour-Ting- in from a large territory. General Freight Agent Miller received a re quest from the Pendleton Chamber of Commerce. The train today ' drew crowds at LaCrosse, Hooper, Winona, Endlcott and Diamonds. At Endlcott. T. C.
