It will contain all the original matter of tin daily Sutitm- ill HcmtliHeun, with the exception of local news not inter esting to country siihsciibors. It will give full reports of the proceedings of Congress, and of the other department ot the national uovernmcm. ii win coniaiu an me news of the day, foreign nnd domestic, markets, etc., as well ns original correspondence from all parts of the country. The miscellaneous department will receive special attention and, in nil respects, t lie ell'ort will be made to establish the character of the .,itinnil U'i jiul'lioni as a Family Newspa ner. Washington beinir now the central point of the cur rent mililiirv operations, great attention will be paid to furnishing the readers of tho Xttiimitl Ji'epuMican with full, BtUl especially Willi IVMfur, ucvvmiis ui iiiu ,iiiivaa vi the war for the Union. In polities, the paper will be Rnpuliliran, sustaining the Administration l .Mr. Lincoln, but disclaiming, however, nny pretention to be the organ of the President. There is no Republican paper in the District ol l omnium, orin the vicinity ot it, anil it is believed that recent events have opened to such a paper an important sphere of useful effort. The time has come, when thenetu.it administration of the Government upon Republican principles will explode the misrepresentations which have made those principles so distasteful to the South. Hut it is not only here, and in this vieinitv, that the projectors of the Xititt iitit'irin hope to nne it useful. To the whole country they oiler a journal which will discuss national politics from a national standpoint, and which will never be swerved from patriotic duty by any overpowering pressure of local interest. II II BANCROFT A CO., San Francisco, Cal. TURNER'S FOREST WINE BITTERS. The Greatest Remedy of the Age FOR THE CURE OF Dyspepsia, Liver Complaint, Weakness of Stomach, Or any Derangement of the Digestive Organs. THEY regulate nnd prepare the stomach to receive and digest lood iu a heulthy manner, giving action to the Liver, by removing the secreted bile, allowing the body its natural (strength. ' It is very essential lor persons of every age and condition in life, to be careful and keep their Digestive Organs in good order. By doing this, they will be proof aguinftt any, or all, of the prevailing diseases, in cident to the ditlerent climates, no matter wliat the tem perature of the same." These Hitters are sure to do this in every case, if taken according to directions. There are thousands of smull arteries and arenves in the human frame, leading to and depending upon, the gastric juices produced by the stomach for the support of the en tire body. If the stomach is diseased, surely it cannot do its work. Consequently the body must be fed from un prepared and unnatural saliva, sowing corruption through out the whole Kvstem. Hut if the stomach is kept in order, the created saliva goes to enrich the blood, giving a natural freshness to the countenance, and strengthening the whole frame. We desire any and every person using the Bitters to show them to and ask the opinion of their confidential family physician, in regard to the merits of the article. TURNER'S FOREST WINE BITTERS Arc sure to regulate the stomach, the main avenue to the whole body ; Are sure to counteract Billiousness, when in a malarious climate ; Are sure to agree with the most weakly, as well as the most robust person ; Are sure to create a good appetite ; Are pfeusunt us a beverage ; Are economical and cheap ; All travelers should carry these Hitters with them, to pre vent Billiousiiess and Fevers, caused by changes of wuter and climate. Seamen should carry them to prevent Scurvy, Ship Fever and the like when they are deprived of fresh vegetables. All persons of sedentary habits, who cannot rest at night, should take them before going to bed (as a foul and disar dunged stomach always produces a nervous irritation of the muscular glands, causing sleepless nights). They assist the stomach to perform its natural powers, allowing the paticHt to rest with composure. They are a very ricn and nutritive wine, formed by the addition of nine ditlerent kinds of roots, bark and herbs, making a very palatable as well as one of the most nourishing Hitters in the world. There has never been any urticle introduced that has gained such universal confidence, and been so highly applauded bv the public, as these Hitters. They have been in use about six years, und the sale has increased so much that it now takes three lare buildings, covering over ujue lots of ground, to do their business. For the better protection of the public f'afler 'lhis date, April 15th), we have for a label, a (splendid and very ex pensive) Steel Engraving, with the portrait of each mem ber of our firm, making a perfect guarantee agaiust coun terfeits or imitations of the genuine article.
