The event goes from 5:30-8 p.m. at Mid-Co- lumbia Fire and Rescue, 1400 W. 8th St., The Dalles. If you are interested in attending call Kitsy Stanley at 541-490-3836 or email sarna@ohsu.edu Presenters are Dr. Kristen Dillon, MD (Research Network director and clinician); Susan Lowe (research network governing board member and patient advocate); Melinda Davis, PhD (research network principal Inves- tigator and OHSU researcher). This is one of the first of several PaCE Sym- posiums that will occur this year around the country. PaCE brings together community members, clinicians, and researchers to learn more about primary care research, policy, and engagement. PaCE aims to get more commu- nity members and partners involved in health research. The symposiums are designed for a small-group environment with time to learn, ask questions, think, and have fun, according to Stanley. Light food will be provided. Topics covered will include: ■ What is primary care research & advoca- cy? ■ Training on how to develop research ques- tions ■ Opportunities to get involved in health re- search Submitted photo SAFE KIDS now operates a mobile trailer, which sports a life-size diagram and measuring stick painted to determine each child’s height and if a booster seat is needed.
