They join The Caleb Klauder Country Band, the Down- town Mountain Boys, North Country Bluegrass and Jim Faddis with Farmstrong be- ginning July 23-26 when the event hits the Skamania County Fairg rounds in scenic Stevenson, Wash. Look for the 2015 Show to carry on the traditions that make this festival one of the best bluegrass events in the Northwest. The Festival offi- cially kicks off with the fan- favorite Jammers Jamboree on Thursday night. The evening features great talent on the stage and sweet spe- cials in the beer and wine garden, too. The good times continue with nightly dances and a stellar gospel show on Sun- day. Festival guests have the opportunity to participate in the annual Instrument Con- test, Band Scramble, work- shops for all ages including the Chick Rose Kid’s Acade- my, and plenty of jamming throughout. Visitors will be treated to an assortment of fine craft and music related booths, de- licious food, and micro brew beers presented by Laginitas Brewing Company. This year, we welcome back the Columbia Gorge Fiddle Contest, to be held on the Fairgrounds in conjunc- tion with the Festival. The activities commence Thurs- day, July 23, with a series of workshops, continued by the competition July 24-25. THE COLUMBIAIRES singing group performs “Blue Moon,” among other American folk, spiritual and pop stan- dards during “Independence Eve,” a first-of-of-its kind event held July 3 at Bingen Theater in Bingen. About 125 listened in the theater as Radio Tierra (95.1 FM) broadcast the two-hour show live.
