In “The Dumb Waiter,” Ray Abon- do, left, and David Dye face off in one of several tense moments in this dark comedy. “The Dumb Waiter” is a funny and intriguing story of two British hit men as they wait in a basement for their next assign- ment. In James McLure’s hilari- ous “Laundry & Bourbon,” the action centers on the discontent and gossip of three small-town wives whose marriages have turned out to be less than was hoped for. Lisa Roth, Barb Berry and Desiree Amyx-Mackintosh match wits in this one. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors and are available online, at Waucoma Bookstore and in the gallery at Columbia Center for the Arts, 215 Cascade Ave. in downtown Hood River. Photo by Kirby Neumann-Rea HRVHS Project Graduation seeks volunteers, donations June 5, 2015 marks the day that the Senior Class of Hood River Valley High School will celebrate with an all- night party. Graduation has histori- cally been a high-risk event. Project Graduation 2015 is a community effort organized by volunteer parents, to honor our graduates for a job well done and provide a safe place to celebrate with their friends. The local Elks Club gener- ously donates the use of their facilities each year and this year marks the 50th year that the Elks Club is donat- ing their space. This event cannot happen without vol- unteers. HRVHS is looking for more community mem- bers that would be willing to donate their time to help sup- port Project Graduation 2015.
