A3
Columbia Center for the Arts
presents an evening of two clas-
sic one acts at 7 p.m. Friday and
Saturday — Harold Pinter’s The
Dumb Waiter, and James
McLure’s Laundry & Bourbon. In
“The Dumb Waiter,” Ray Abon-
do, left, and David Dye face off
in one of several tense moments
in this dark comedy.
“The Dumb Waiter” is a funny
and intriguing story of two
British hit men as they wait in a
basement for their next assign-
ment. In James McLure’s hilari-
ous “Laundry & Bourbon,” the
action centers on the discontent
and gossip of three small-town
wives whose marriages have
turned out to be less than was
hoped for. Lisa Roth, Barb Berry
and Desiree Amyx-Mackintosh
match wits in this one. Tickets
are $15 for adults and $12 for
students and seniors and are
available online, at Waucoma
Bookstore and in the gallery at
Columbia Center for the Arts,
215 Cascade Ave. in downtown
Hood River.

HRVHS Project Graduation
seeks volunteers, donations
June 5, 2015 marks the day
that the Senior Class of Hood
River Valley High School
will celebrate with an all-
night party.
Graduation has histori-
cally been a high-risk event.
Project Graduation 2015 is a
community effort organized
by volunteer parents, to
honor our graduates for a job
well done and provide a safe
place to celebrate with their
friends.
The local Elks Club gener-
ously donates the use of
their facilities each year and
this year marks the 50th year
that the Elks Club is donat-
ing their space. This event
cannot happen without vol-
unteers. HRVHS is looking
for more community mem-
bers that would be willing to
donate their time to help sup-
port Project Graduation
2015.

Trio Subtonic at CEBU
This week at CEBU Lounge:
Fri., March 13: Tracy Klas Band, 9:30 p.m. Rock ‘n’ Roll
Sat., March 14: Trio Subtonic, 9:30 p.m. Groove & Funk-
based Jazz. “Trio Subtonic has made their mark on the
Northwest independent and jazz music scenes, crafting
four albums worth of original compositions. In 2009,
‘Cave Dweller’ received national attention for striking a
balance between unique groove and catchy melody. The
incorporation of jazz and Brazilian traditions with non-
stop funky fervor poses the question to the dance floor: is
it better to stop for a moment and listen, or to have never
listened at all?” Best Western Plus Hood River Inn, 1108
E. Marina Way; 541-386-2200.
