I remember it well, and not just be- cause of the great music. I hiked through a foot of snow to get to the show — I guess that was back when we were having a real winter. The roads should be clear on Friday, Jan. 23, when the band pulls into the River City Sa- loon, and I’ll get to hear Mimi Naja’s man- dolin one more time. — Jim Drake Kay Floria at White Buffalo Kay Floria will be the featured musician at the White Buffalo on Thursday, Jan. 22, from 6-8 p.m. Kay, an excel- lent keyboardist and vocalist, performs blues, ballads and jazzy tunes reminiscent of 40s and 50s female blues artists. Januik Winery from Woodinville, Wash., will be pouring some favorite reds and whites for the compli- mentary wine tasting. The movie is a fundraiser for the Columbia Gorge Ecology Institute and connects the dots between our di- etary choices and global warming.
