They came from Wenatchee and brought record prices, according to a report from Consul General J. L. Griffiths. The consignment of 2000 cases was shipped from Wenatchee to London, being in transit just 13 days. This is also a record in the matter of fruit forwarding. Heretofore, a few Canadian peaches have reached London. Considering that fine peaches sold for 48 cents a piece this year in Covent Gar den, and that from Washington state, should be good news to the growers.
