Test imony given by two of hi compan ions who had tieen with O'Day stated that he had been drinking. They also gave other Information about his movement during theday. A verdict of death by being struck by a locomotive while trespassing on the railroad track was rendered. The railroad company was exoner ated. Owing to the fact that the dead man had no money and It I not known to have any relatives who could be communicated with the body was burled by the county. John Cooper and Harry Hood hitched four horses to a big sled and took a large party to Parkdale Christmas Eve. Joe lies came up from Portland, where he ha lieen for some time con nected with the moving ptctureshow business, to spend the holiday. Hoy Iarge took dinner at Jesse Davidson's Sunday. The exercises at the school house, consisting of recitations, songs, etc , were tine. After the program Jesse Davidson acted a Saint Nick and preseuted the gifts from a very fine tree. J as. Wlshart wa present with his phonograph und rendered a few selections. Mrs. Wallace Moody had an acci dent In the way of a runaway last Thursday. As she found the horse could not be controlled, she threw her baby out In the snow and then Jumped and landed safely. The baby was unhurt, but the sleigh was con siderably damaged.
