Fort Clatsop District Boy Scouts of America Mission Statement Vision/Goals: The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Scout Law: A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent. Scout Oath: PROGRAM OVERVIEW Scouting is about character development and having confidence in yourself to Be Prepared! The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is the largest youth organization in the U.S. with nearly 3 million youth members and 1.1 million registered adult leaders. These members make up the 18 Clatsop County Scout units. Our program is a family program, one that could become part of your family. INVEST IN THE LEADERS OF TOMORROW Together with your help, the Boy Scouts of America will continue to motivate young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes.
