Gurney’s classic play “Love Letters” to the North County Recreation District Performing Arts Center in Nehalem, Friday, July 6, through Saturday, July 21. See it more than once — three different casts will bring this classic stage- read play to life with seven performances. A finalist for the Pulit- zer Prize in Drama, this American serio-comedy has been performed and loved around the world. The play tells the story of Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gard- ner, both born to wealth and position, who ex- change letters from grade school though a lifetime of experiences. “The audience will laugh out loud and be moved to tears as the stories and incredible rela- tionship unfolds,” director Mike Arseneault said.
