Come dance to live music from the Clatsop County Stringband. The dance starts at 7 p.m. with a beginners’ lesson taught by caller Dave Ambrose. All ages are welcome and no experience is necessary to have an evening of fun. Bring a partner or come by yourself. Contra danc- ing is made for meeting new friends. A monthly stand-up comedy event featuring the best comics of the Pacific Northwest, this month’s event is hosted by Andie Main and features Nariko Ott and Corina Lucas. Main is a Portland comedian who keep busy producing and hosting the Doug Fir Lounge’s sum- mer series The Cool Kids Patio Show, and with a politically themed series, “Revolution Comedy,” which organizes fundrais- ers for progressive causes like Planned Parenthood, the ACLU and Don’t Shoot PDX. Her efforts have con- tributed more than $10,000 to #theresistance.
