The tour starts at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Astoria High School, before heading to Astoria Middle School and John Jacob Astor Elementary School. The district will pro- vide transportation on school buses. The district will hold a community meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the mid- dle school to gather public input on the district’s facili- ties needs. Old Safeway parking lot closed for striping The Daily Astorian Restriping for the former Safeway parking lots at 12th and Duane streets, and 11th and Exchange streets, is sched- uled to begin Wednesday. The lots will be closed off at 5 p.m. today in prepa- ration for this work, and will be unavailable Wednesday during striping. They will be reopened as soon as possible.
