The hike at Oswald West will start at 10 a.m. at a shop in the park’s main parking lot along U.S. Highway 101 and head west 1 mile to the Matt Kramer Memorial over- looking Short Sands Beach. Kramer was a journalist for the Associated Press who reported on the state’s Beach Bill keeping the coastline public. The hike at Sunset Beach will begin at 10 a.m. in the main parking lot on Sun- set Beach Road and trek 6 miles on the Fort to Sea Trail through reforested shore dunes, dune lakes, open meadows, and areas Karen passed away Dec. 6, 2017, in Astoria, Warrenton; a sister-in- law, Margie Radich of Oregon, at the age of 96.
