ON THE RECORD DUII • At 11:50 p.m. Wednes- day, Astoria Police arrested Bryon Earl Freniere, 33, of Warrenton, for driving under the infl uence of intoxicants and hit and run on the 200 block of West Marine Drive. Freniere reportedly crashed into a pillar, then tried to drive off onto the Asto- ria Riverwalk, according to police. Drug arrests • On Thursday, Clat- sop County Sheriff’s Offi ce, Astoria Police and Pacifi c County Sheriff’s Offi ce arrested fi ve people on drug-related charges on the 400 block of Bond Street in Astoria. Michael Douglas Cooper, 46, was found with about 22 grams of crystal methamphet- amine packaged for deliv- ery, scales, packaging mate- rial and a restricted weapon, according to offi cials.
