A Great Gallery 576 Pacific Way Whether poised at a river bend or cruising the coastline, the Great Blue Heron is a majestic sight. Bruce is both artist and teacher at heart, having relished both activities from a young age growing up in Illi- nois. He earned a bachelors in art edu- cation from Western Illinois University. He and his wife, Dorie, have ded- icated their lives to bringing art to children and youth. They take great joy in seeing how many of their students have grown into fine artists. Plan to meet and talk with Bruce during the reception at Trail’s End Art Gallery, 656 A Street, from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. as you enjoy his dynamic, colorful art. Bruce enjoys a mixed-media ap- proach. He is especially fascinated by the challenges of painting animals, people, and what he calls, “mind- scapes.” With his mindscapes, he takes the viewer on a journey into color, shape and texture as he inspires imagination. His rich background in teaching drawing, painting, printmaking, ce- ramics, and sculpture results in an amazing variety of images. Trail’s End Art Association is proud to bring this fine art to the North Coast. SUBMITTED PHOTOS Artwork by Bruce Horne. Pacific Crest Cottage oils By Wim Vlek.
