Food and beverages, pre- pared by the center, will be available for purchase, as well as baked goods by the Grays River United Method- ist Church Friendship Circle. The GRVC serves as a community center for learning and human development activ- ities for Wahkiakum County and the wider area of the lower Columbia River. Warrenton student receives $2,000 scholarship SALT LAKE CITY — Rebecca Lewis of Warrenton has received the WGU Loves Nurses Scholarship, which is valued up to $2,000, from Western Governors Univer- sity (WGU). As a nonpro¿t, online university that is com- mitted to making higher education more affordable and accessible for every- one, WGU typically awards scholarships based on the applicant’s academic record, readiness for online study, ¿nancial need, and other considerations.
