The district hasn¶t Jotten a bid for that sys tem yet, but e[pects it to cost about the same as in /onJ %each. 1e[t year, the district Zill tacNle security at Hilltop 6chool, and they Zill ZorN on ,lZaco HiJh 6chool after that, 5isner said. ³The hiJh school is a differ ent beast altoJether, because there are so many more doors, so that¶s Jonna be our last area,” 5isner e[plained. 5isner said the district has also purchased steel door bar riers for all classroom and Jymnasium doors. The tZo locNdoZns in the last year Zere both purely pre cautionary, 5isner said. There Zas never actually a danJer ous person on any campus durinJ either incident. %ut, should a real activeshooter incident ever occur, the doors should help to limit the harm. ³The barriers come hiJhly recommended and Zill ensure that an intruder can¶t Jet in the classroom for a very lonJ time,” 5isner said in her let ter.
